I was wondering if anyone else has tried out AIX DVD-Audio discs?

I own the Nitty Gritty Surround disc and want to get the Lawrence Juber disc.

Has anyone else experienced these incredible sounding and also fun to watch and listen to discs?

snippy,

I own Juber, Cheryl Bentyne, Brahms, Bach, Beethoven/Respighi, Stravinsky/Ravel and Mozart from AIX. They're all outstanding discs.

The Juber is highly recommended, for both sonics and performance. The Cheryl Bentyne is outstanding for jazz standards. All of the classical discs I own are great also. It seems that the Stravinsky/Ravel gets the most acclaim, but I also really like the Bach, Beethoven and Brahms as well.

I own Mozart's 26 & 41 symphonies, which are great, and Fred Sokolow with Junior Brown and Ian Whitcomb, which alas I hardly ever listen to. I took a chance on the latter because I love Junior Brown but the music is highly soporific ... or perhaps one should say an acquired taste. The recording quality is great even in 5.1 (I don't have a DVD-A player), but Junior's not on there enough and Fred's not my cup of tea.
