Bruno, those readings you took seem to be quite reasonable. You didn't mention the distance, but at around 10' it would be typical for the levels to be about 4dB down from the 75dB test tone output.

Ah, I forgot to take in consideration the distance and that's why I don't get 75dB. I understand now, thanks. I sit at about 7.5ft.
As for the fronts being slightly higher, it might be due to how I was holding the meter. I'll try on the tripod facing up as Michael suggested.

whatever the distance from the front speakers to the mic., the result should always be 75 dB SPL at the seating position; that is why the microphone must be setup exactly at that position.

if it is not done this way, then the calibration isn't well done (this applies to the first measurement done with Audyssey), and the results will not be satisfactory.

re. the Audyssey mic that comes with your avr, they company says they're individually calibrated to +- 2 dB. This is quite good and most probably better than the R.S. meter at many frequencies, like at low and high freq.
you can find a correction table for the meter on the net, but beware that this correction table is still not very precise, because all R.S. SPL meters are made to certain tolerances.
to be very precise, you have to buy the pro Audyssey system.
