I finally placed an order for my system. M22's, VP150 and QS8.
Any idea how long before they ship? Looking forward to auditioning them. Going to do a side-by-side with Aperion and Paradigm.

HI,
If you selected one of the two standard finishes (Black Oak - Boston Cherry) without any customizing options your order will ship in three business days. At which time, Axiom will email you a FedEx tracking number. Once they leave Axiom Canadian factory they are on your door step within a three to five business day window. Looking forward to your comments on their performance. Be sure to maintain the exact same volume level when comparing them; the one with a higher volume level (even subtile) will always win a comparaison test.

I will be very careful on comparing apples to apples. I did chose the stock finish, mainly because on the website it states custom finishes are not returnable. Not that I'm pre-ordaining the axioms to being sent back.

Good manufacturer selection. I'm looking forward to your review.

Looking forward to your thoughts on those speakers.

What I have done in the past to compare speakers is to (obviously) use the exact same material and listening/speaker positions as well as SPL. I like to write down my thoughts while listening, then swap out the speakers, recalibrate and wait an hour or so or even a day in between to keep the sound fresh each time. Once you are done look at your notes and see if there are similarities and blatant items you didn't like.

good advice. I was going to keep a blog of some sort, from arrival to decision. Pictures, etc. to accompany the blog. I have a selection of SACD (JOhn Coltrane and Pink Floyd-of course the standard selection from Amazon..lol) plus several Blu-ray disks I'll play, then normal daily listening. Maybe a few guest listeners too - blind folded of course..;-). I should be getting my Hsu VTF-3 MK4 in on Monday.

Let me double check for you but I'm quite convinced that this policy was modified a while back and even custom finishes are fully refundable. I'll keep you posted on it.

After verification, it is confirmed. All Axiom speakers which can be ordered online with standard finishes and through the "Customize Yours" way are fully refundable.
