Order one now! This thing is nothing short of amazing. Gave it a test drive with John Mayer Where the Light is and Dave Matthews and tim Reynolds live at radio city hall blurays. I watched about 15 minutes of various scenes on Eclipse and now about halfway through Mega Mind bluray. I didn't do a direct comparison with my vp150 but one isnt needed. Dialogue is crisp and ear at all volumes. There is absolutely no need to turn up the volume during quite scenes like I had to do on occasion with my vp150. I ordered from the auction and took a couple of days to find any flaws. On the back corner the vinyl doesn't meet completely together on all sides. Photos of blemish attached but doesnt look like much. I'm definitely impressed with the vp180. My wife even thinks it sounds great and understands why I wanted it now .

Thanks for posting that quick thought. The 180 is a beast of a center and plays so well with the M80s, I wonder why? I hope the new VP160 plays as well with the M80s.

David, your right.. There is no need for a comparison of the 180 to the 150...When i upgraded from my 150, i wished they had come out with the 180 6 years ago!!.... you don't truly know what your missing until you have this monster, I always though the 150 was undersized for my M60's... I was right it was.

I just wish the darn thing would fit into my ent cabinet. I know the wife won't budge on having a new one built, maybe I can talk her into upgrading the 150 to a 160.

Cut the sides out of it and place some flowers, pictures, etc. on the ends that protrude. New speakers plus new shelving. Win/Win.
With great power comes Awesome irresponsibility.
