When I imprted Axioms to the US, I paid $0 in duties, tariffs, taxes, etc... The shipping label makes some reference to NAFTA - reckon that's why.
Why is it then, that when Canadians want to import American subs thay have to pay import duties? Am I missing something or what?

Mark,
duties should only be paid if the goods were not manufactured in the US (as I understand is the case with some HSU Subs). It works the same in reverse, which is why you didn't pay duty on Axioms - they're manufactured in Canada.

Yup, we're manufactured right here in Canada, so we're duty-free to the USA under NAFTA

Since I was manufactured in the US, I should be able to travel to Canada free, right?

Sorry Peter.
You would first have to run by the meat inspector and be stamped free of mad cow. With your qualifications, you may not make it.
Oh, waitaminute, i think that is just still for livestock. But you better hurry. Anyday now the US gov't may pass a law making it mandatory for human testing before allowing ppl across the border...

(sidvicious can appreciate that thought)
