I was unaware of Canadian Tire when I inadvertantly began a small debacle.
I was only very recently made aware of the above and have no information with which to compose "a piece."
Any pertinent information you have that might be manipulated, misinterpreted, marginalized or debased would be greatly appreciated.

Bob, Princess Auto is basically like Harbor Freight in the US. I believe the founder of PA named it after his daughter, "Princess". Generally offshore tools, agricultural supplies, pnuematics, hydraulics, trailer parts, electrical supplies ect....oh, and the stores often smell like "offshore"...kind of a mix of moth balls and rubber tires.
Get to work.

So, not the likely emotional response one has for Canadian Tire?
I'll wait, then.

Lampy just informed me that a Harb Fr. recently opened about 10 miles from where we live. Now, instead of ordering cheesey crap, I can be instantly gratified (grate-i-fied?).

Bob, Princess Auto is basically like Harbor Freight in the US. It's actually the other way round, at least from a Canadian point of view. I finally made my way into a Harbor Freight store a couple of weeks ago while down in Austin. It's just like Princess Auto... ... only a lot smaller and doesn't sell as much cool stuff. I would have a tough time building a giant killer robot with everything sourced from Harbor Freight, at least from the one in South Austin.

We have a Princess Auto. Darn cheap tools for when buying a simple rubber mallet shouldn't cost $100 for a Sony brand.

Adrian! Lampy and I recalled your observation when entering Harbor Freight on Saturday.
"Oh, THIS is the same smell that Adrian described at Princess Auto!"

I'm hoping someday they will bottle the "imported from China" smell. Maybe mix it with some patchoulie for a more earthy fragrance.
