with time passing, i'm more and more interested in getting QS8's for surrounds.

just looking at the photos of the standard T bracket that comes with the speakers does not tell me how it is fixed to the wall, and how the speaker is attached to the bracket; something i would like to know before i buy.

does anyone have an exploded view of the way to install that?

Hi J.B.,
The Power Bracket" is screwed to the wall with three (3) screws. On the back of the QS8v3 you have two (2) golden clips which slide down over the horizontal bar of the "T" of the "Power Bracket". The speaker wire can be directly connected to the binding posts of the QS8v3 spaker or it can be connected directly to the "Power Bracket".

Here is a link for the installation instructions - Online installation instructions

I didn't know the power bracket was available with the QS8's yet. I have the on-wall M22's and the power bracket makes it easy for one person to mount. I didn't care for the little plastic clips on the M22 that had to be pulled out of the way to unmount them though. One of these had broken off, but it doesn't affect the security of the mounting.

it seems from the fuzzy drawing in the document that the 3 screws are aligned vertically; is that right?

CatBrat,
The Axiom Power Bracket has been improved/modified since its introduction and the newer design does not have the tabs anymore.

J.B.,
That is correct. The top and bottom holes on the bracket are oval allowing slight adjustments for a perfect levelling.

oh, another question.

with the QS8's, is it better to install them at 90 degr. or more at the back, like at 110 degr. ?
would 110 degr. give a better rear soundfield than at 90 degr.?

they each would be about 5 ft. away from my ears, and the fronts
are 6 ft. from my ears.
the room is 9 ft. wide.

I recommend using toggle bolts to hold the bracket to the wall since not every whole will necessarily line up with a stud. Nothing like someone's QS8 dropping off the wall due to someone just screwing into drywall...
