The old farts band I belong to did an all acoustic Christmas service on Christmas eve - no amps, no mics (except the one going straight to the CD recorder). The audio got recorded as one, long hour plus track. I can't figure out how to separate the individual songs and speaking parts into separate tracks that one could skip or jump to, but also have it play back as a continuous track.

Any advice appreciated.

It was a cool event, one never done at out church before. We had a 12-string guitar, a 6-string guitar, Mrs Classic on violin, and me on an acoustic bass which I restrung as a long scale baritone guitar in B - E - A - D. The original EADG bass was too quiet to be heard, but the octave up was quite audible.

Scott, I've used CD Architect before with good success!

Sony has a free trial here.

Scott, I'd use Audacity for this.

http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

I'd open the whole recording in Audacity and then cut and paste out each section of the recording into a new track. Start at the beginning of the recording and work your way down to the last track, saving each chunk as a separate WAV file.

Once the tracks are split from the original recording, import the files into iTunes, make a playlist, and then burn that playlist to CD with no gaps, like so:
