It sounds like one I'll have to check out, even if my stick-shaking is in vain.

I still need to watch the original.

Every time I see Keanu's name I just want to cry now, in anticipation of his Cowboy Bebop movie.

Who has the stick that gets Winona Ryder or Jennifer Love Hewitt into one of these kinds of movies? And why isn't he shaking it?

Bears, beets, Battlestar Galactica.

I finished watching the first season of Battlestar Galactica. I like it enough to keep watching, though I do hope it gets better.

There are a few -- maybe just a couple? -- dud episodes along the way, but it generally keeps improving.

Make sure you have an antidote on hand. I use old Simpsons episodes.

BSG ended well. I agree w/ Peter, some of the episodes start to draw out a bit but stick w/ it. IMHO, best written show on TV.

The end of Season 1 to the middle of Season 2 were a little show. But after that, it picked up FAST.

Tried to watch "The Rock" again on blu ray, my wife and I were both fans of the movie when it came out, something wrong with the sound track, had to discontinue after half an hour, seriously compressed, muffled, and lacking in dynamics, the video looked fine, my wife said, "It's like watching TV." What could the problem be, I'm pretty sure it has Dolby HD or DTS Master Audio as default, which I selected anyway in the setup to be sure, although the print is sort of tiny so I couldn't tell exactly what it said and didn't get off the couch to peer at the TV screen.

Some of the older blu rays seem a bit weak as far as audio goes . . .

Whisper of the Heart

It's a Hayao Miyazaki/Studio Ghibli movie. Very pretty, tender, and thoughtful.

Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles

I somehow thought it would be worse, despite the good things I'd heard, but I'm glad to say it's decent so far.

Oh, I've also been watching Newsradio. I wouldn't rank it among the classic sitcoms, but I always thought it was solid, and when you can get 5 seasons of a show you like for $35, it's hard not to bite. The packaging leaves a lot to be desired, and they obviously slapped the episodes on the disc without trying to improve the quality (at least in the first season--we'll see if it improves over the span of the series), but thankfully, since I don't consider it one of my favorite shows, I don't really care so much about the presentation.
