Although I loath their in aisle & counter customer service, Canadian Tire does have some good products. Their hand tools, wrenches etc, are a good quality and have a lifetime warranty that is super easy to deal with. If you do happen to break it, bring it back and they hand you a new one immediately, no questions asked.

If you are careful, you can get a really good deal on a good powertool because their sales are many and are usually big percentiles. But you have to do your research on the make and model number. They carry mostly low end, consumer model stuff but if you watch the flyers closely and get there fast, you can get a sweet deal on a decent make/model.

With great power comes Awesome irresponsibility.

Racist.

Always call the place you live a house. When you're old, everyone else will call it a home.

I miss the days when Sears sold tools.

...and I mean tools, not injection molded cased "who's a good husband" sets...

You mean you're not supposed to throw out that injection-molded plastic case -- with a hinge that's probably only goof for 500 open/close cycled before it lets go -- and throw all your tools in the 4' high wheeled steelcase cabinet you keep in the garage next to the vintage car?

i would recommend getting one of these blades...

http://www.amazon.com/Freud-LU83R010-10-...9272&sr=8-1

I have one on my compound miter saw, it cuts VERY nice and smooth.. Also, since it cuts with carbide tips it lasts quite long... they are not crazy expensive either...

Progress, i finally got a frame built for my speaker grills. First try was with pine, too soft, second try was with oak,the wood was right but it did not come out square. Third try after much thought, i cut a piece of scrap to the inside dimensions of the frame, then built the frame around it and it came out just right. I forgot to take pics of the back side, but what i did was inlayed small metal corner braces on the back which will attach to the magnets in the front face of the speaker cabinet. I cut a mortise with my router to inlay the corner braces.

Scrap wood for jig

Completed frame
