Thanks Powertothepeople for your insightful input on those two words. I woke up this morning nearly panic stricken thinking about the extent of how these two words,(Lay/Lie) should be used correctly. Now I know, I won't lose any sleep tonight, thinking about it further.

While we're talking grammar, let's address the most common error I see on the board: your vs. you're.

You're is a contraction of 'you' and 'are'.

"You are cool" is the same as "You're cool."

Your is an adjective describing a possession.

"Your new speakers are amazing."
"I think your opinion is awful."

Please, please, please -- and I'm looking sternly at SirQuack when I say this -- never say "Your right" when you want to say you agree with someone. "You're right" is correct.

This is super simple. One is a contraction, the other is not.
