OUYA: A New Kind of Video Game ConsoleI'm sure most of you have seen this by now. I decided to pledge, so I'm looking forward to seeing what happens. In the latest update, they confirmed that they've added an ethernet port, which I consider good news. Honestly, I think I get plenty of indie games on my big screen thanks to having my PC hooked up to it (as well as an addiction to Steam sales), but I think there's plenty that can be done with this new platform, too. I'm glad they're keeping the hardware specs reasonable. They can always reach higher with subsequent consoles. It sounds like they have enough of the right people involved to make it a success, but it will all come down to the community that develops around it. I do admire how open they're trying to make it. I could see this becoming a kick-ass media streamer, even if you don't care about the games. Anyway, I'm glad they've exceeded their goal by so much. That should let them launch with some nice titles. Fingers crossed it's all smooth sailing for them.

Have you played The Binding of Isaac? Great little indie game. http://store.steampowered.com/sub/15408/

All fair points. To me, it's still worth $99 to run the experiment.

I'll still be buying the next generation Xbox console in 2013.

At least you can pronounce XBox and PlayStation.... OUYA? I can guess it to be "Oi (think Australian) - A" but can you imagine kids asking their parents for one? It would get lost in translation, so to speak, somewhere between the kid asking for it, the parent not knowing what it is, and the parent trying to figure out how to get one and being clueless.
