so, she's the one who produced some slap echo in my HT room when i played that for the first time. she made me spend $10.00 to correct for that... :-(

the first thing that came to my mind when i read your post is:
this guy needs Muzak, it's a professional soporific and it has proven itself for dozens of years in all kinds of environments.

Bose would be superb for that, as muzak does not have low frequencies that we can hear.

What about nature sounds, self-meditation relaxation discs, or simple white noise boxes?

I second John's recommendation for classical music at night to unwind. I often listen to classical (a favorite is Mozart's Eine Kleine Nachtmusik)or jazz before retiring for the night.

if you get Galaxie on satellite or cable, try the "nature" channel; the play nature sounds often accompanied by soft music.
