I ordered a VP100 last week from the FO in boston cherry, the order page said there is a two weeks wait period on these. I haven't received a tracking number yet. For those who have ordered from the FO is the 2 week waiting period pretty certain or an estimation?

More an estimation than anything. Why don't you give Axiom a call and see what they say?

The waiting periods stated on the FO page are the maximum expected. So you may wait as long as two weeks for the VP100 in Cherry. You receive the tracking numbers the evening of the day the shipment leaves the factory, after FedEx picks it up.

The FO wait period page is updated every Wednesday.

Holy Schnikees, did anyone else notice that the Boston Cherry m60s are a 13 week wait. They must be very popular in that color.

You may not remember, but when I had just gotten to the point of ordering Axioms at the end of January, you encouraged me in a posting by saying I wouldn't even consider sending them back. What I didn't know was that your tongue was hanging out to get some Axioms. Your exuberance is understandable. Please - when your M60s ship - give us some warning so we can get our hard hats on. I hope they ship on Monday!

That was funny.ROTFL. I'm still on the fence considering the m22/m60 issue. If I ever become tired of my m22s I might consider that leap. I'm proceeding cautiously. By the way, we already got our phone books on Wednesday.

I just checked the Fed EX tracking on my order. It went from Canada to NJ to Tennessee to North Dakota to Mpls and then back to North Dakota. I ask you does this make any sense??? My VP100 has actually been traveling around over the weekend. I thought Fed Ex employees didn't work on the weekend. Why would they ship to Grand Forks and then to Minneapolis and then to Fargo? DUH!

The VP100 has arrived. It looks so little. It came with a cute little red wrench. I am listening to it in 5 channel stereo. It sounds real G-O-O-D-D-D! My compliments to the chef.

I agree that the VP 100 is a very good speaker, and it doesn't get its props around here. I have one, and though I constantly have to fight upgradeitis because of the uniformly glowing reports of VP 150's around here, I never really hear any deficiencies in my VP 100. Of course, I always sit right in the sweet spot.

The wife really likes the VP100. She actually looked at me and said "you should get the QS4s next." I was dumbfounded. She must like the Axiom sound a lot.

I'd press the advantage, buy the QS8s and say - "I'm sorry, I clearly heard you say 8, not 4." Any guff and go back to my original plan - Sell her.

Mark's VP100 sounded excellent. Seamless transition - not localizable at all and played crystal clear at high volumes - especially the Fight Club airplane scene...

I know my Axioms are attractive looking speakers, but there not that good looking, and there is no way the 8s are that much better than the 4s.LOL

On a more serious note, with the new tweeters in the QS4s, you shouldn't be giving up much in relation to the 8s. Once you do the calibration, the 4s will simply end up playing a bit louder than they might otherwise do. Enjoy them.
