StSal, welcome. As other replies have said, there's no good reason to hesitate in taking advantage of the present 20% clearance saving. You might even slightly prefer the in/on wall version over the in-wall, considering that it has a 60Hz -3dB bass extension spec compared to 70Hz for the in-wall.

Myself, I was glad I hesitated on my purchase of I/O walls as I got the 20% off. The inwalls would not really work in my situation.
