Yup. I get tired of too many people & green all of the time. I need to get a 'desert fix' every year if I can, & drive the lonely roads down there where you are essentially alone. It's also nice to have sunshine 90% of the time vice the gloomy winters that we have up here, although this fall has been amazingly dry & bright.

Besides, all of the gigantic trees out here get in the way of the view as well as block my car's sat radio reception, ha!

The Wolverine

It wasn't bad. The premise probably should have made it more interesting than it was. A lot of it was pretty cool-looking, but yeah, it's hard not to want more out of the story. Still, the audio was a lot of fun, so if you simply want to give your system a workout, this is a good one. Plenty of surround information throughout.

The World's End

I like these guys. But I don't like them as much as some other people do. I always find the antagonists in the movies lacking, and the personal journeys the characters go on a little forced, but of course that's okay since they're likable. I just find myself a little bored between when they're being funny.

Ok...There's no short way to say this.
I'm watching Star Trek (2009) on my new screen, new PJ in 5.1 with 3 subs (all with the cross over dials turned to their minimums).
My M80's are up front (phantom center), QS8's at 87.5°(in line with my knees, never moved) and my former center (haven't moved from my previous 7.1 location, not 1 inch) as the single rear surround(+3.5 @ 11').
This while I wait...
Its good enough I might just leave well enough alone...
but you know me better than that.

I bought a few of these Coen Brothers blu-ray sets as Christmas gifts for people, so I decided to catch up on watching a few of their movies myself. The movies in this set are older, but every bit just as good as their newer ones. I highly recommend watching them if you haven't already.

I bought the set a while back, but I still haven't watched Miller's Crossing or Blood Simple. I need to get on that. I'm behind on everything!

I decided to watch Hannibal since it was on Amazon.com Prime. Very well-written, and not at all uplifting. I liked it enough that I'll buy the Blu-rays.

Orphan Black is my new guilty pleasure. It's not going to be an all time favorite of mine but enough happens in a pretty quick pace to keep your interest going for sure. Tatiana Maslany does an excellent job of playing a half a dozen very diverse roles as all the clones in the same show. Street punk, soccer mom, artsy student, psychotic Russian sociopath, you name it.

With great power comes Awesome irresponsibility.

Pussy Riot on The Colbert Report was pretty great. Nadya had some quick, clever responses to Stephen Colbert's questions. The miracle is that I noticed that despite falling in love with her face.

Archer is still making me laugh.
