Played sick today (dang 24 hr bug !!). The VP150 arrived and I got it all set up. What a huge difference in sound with the center. I just love it. It's amazing what a piece of equipment can do. It flows seamlessly with the 60's and the HSU. Just watching TV is a huge improvement. Jurassic Park was awesome. It's just the right size. I am glad I picked black/black and not the beech like my 60's. It distracts less I think from the screen and all my equipment is black except the Panasonic DVD player.

I moved the sub, tweeked the 2400 a little and played with the color of the projection unit. All big improvements.

Now to get the QS8's and then onto the video side of things.
I am debating a Universal player, perhaps the Denon 2900. I wonder if this will significantly improve the sound over my $100 Panasonic ? The Panasonic has been a great little player but I think my system is now beginning to out grow it. Might be time to move it off to the bedroom.

Take care...
Rick

A tip o' the hat to a guy who would take a day off for a center speaker!!! Well done!

The VP150 was actually my FIRST speaker from Axiom. I was totally blown away. It made all my other speakers sound weak, inferior, and in dire need of replacing. I'll be getting all the rest over the next 4 weeks

Which Panasonic? I wouldn't trade my silver CP-72 for anything, except a black one.

So you feel that M60+vp150+ sub is way better than M60+sub? I thought that will not make a big diff in sound but only in movies positioning..

Hi there TYPE_E,

Yes, I feel the center has made a huge difference to my ears. I have to admit that I felt left wanting without it. The VTF-2 and 60's are awesome but center finished off the front sound "To my ears" in a big way. I'm sure the QS8's will have the same effect.

Go West, I have Panasonic DVD-S35 player. The picture is o.k. The silver bugs me (everything else is black). And I think the sound could be improved with a better player.

The new release GOTHIKA was alot of fun to watch last night if you like a good scarey movie. Sounds of the rain and thunder and lightning were very good. All the dark colors in the insane assylum showed how weak my projection is..oh well. The special feature video by Limp Bizkit "Behind Blue Eyes" was fun. That's my new release review for the week !!

bye

I always thought, if I have M60 and a good sub, I would go for QS8 before VP150. May be I am biased because I haven't heard yet. I am still biased that matrixed M60 will not be worse than a setup with vp150 center because I have read so many reviews saying M60 is competitve to other high end speakers however the VP150 fell short on some areas.
