I've been working my through the New Glarus brews I was gifted recently. Just had my fourth (in 6 days...), a 12% barley wine. It was lovely.

I'm home sick with a sore throat and semi-lost voice. The alcohol soothed my tonsils. smile

Next Friday the 12th, I'm having some home brewer friends from my work club over for an Almanac and New Glarus beer tasting night. We'll start inside and migrate over to the fire pit after sunset. I might even make my (cough) world famous tequila lime chicken enchiladas. Cigars might happen, too.

It will be a night to remember. smile

Ken you've got damn fine taste in my opinion! I just polished off my last bottle of New Belgium Abbey that i brought back from my most recent trip to Grand Forks, ND. I was impressed for a pretty cheap, relatively ubiquitous brew.
Last night I cleaned up a couple of these:
Luxalune - Farmery
It's also not the most remarkable beer, but it is refreshing to see someone try something different especially in Manitoba. It's probably fairly unique for a brewry to grow all their own raw materials. Looks like they have been pretty successful so far.

Might mean tickets, plural: Andrew's partner Sue (many of you remember her from the Axiom 30th anniversary party) shared this with me recently:
