Looks like Honda came to their senses and made the speakers easier to replace in newer Civics than I have. In mine, I'd have to remove the entire door panel.

Hey Ken, the tweeters are actually up in the dash. I will have to remove the entire door panel when I change out the 6.5" woofer. It's not that bad of a job, really - I've done it before. I just wish it was warmer out.
Thanks Tom. Like I said though, I really wanted to have them hidden beneath the factory grill. I spent over 3 hours scouring the internet, and mocking up different mounting techniques, but nothing was going to work. It would have been some half-assed attempt with wire ties and hot glue. Not at all what I would have wanted.

The tweeters are part of a component set that was Alpine's "Flagship" about 6 years ago. The real excitement is the x-over that came with the set. It has user adjustable settings for phase compensation and time alignment. (60 Combinations it total)
If it's not too cold, I'm hoping to change out the woofers, and install the new x-overs tomorrow.

Good luck with the cold. Nice work on the grills, btw. I like how the hole size is pretty much the same.

Thanks, Ken! Yep, got lucky with the hole size - they push in with just enough pressure to keep them snug.

Now I want to smoke a cigar. But it's cold out.
