Did anyone catch the new Netflix/Facebook Netflix / Facebook integration today? If you enable sharing, your friends can see what you're Netflixing (is that a verb?) Interesting idea - do you think it would help you find good recommendations or just give you too much insight into the neighbors?

Wonder if it will sponsor faux-highbrow movie renting? You know, like when people buy books they never intend to read, just to have them hanging around strategically?

I did read about that. You can unshare movies at will if you would rather you didn't want everyone to know you watched particular movies.

Nope, but I bet it will help facebook better determine my age, sex, IQ, sexual orientation and then help them bombard me with lots of targeted adds for stuff I don't want or need. Well, if I had a facebook account it would...

Facebook still thinks I live in California, that I shop for extremely high fashion clothing, and that I'm into extreme outdoor sports. Works for me.

This must be a generational thing.

Why would anyone care what I'm watching & why would I care what someone else is watching???

'I don't get it' says this grumpy old phart...

I think it's possible to be interested in other people, and I don't think it's generational.

For a short while, in Canada anyways, they were forcing you to sign up to Netflix (for new accounts) via your Facebook account.

There must have been enough people, like me, who refused to join and told them why. It seemed to only last a month or so and then someone let me know the restrictions were gone.

With great power comes Awesome irresponsibility.
