Hello everyone,
Haven't been around for a while so I thought I'd drop in and say "hello" and promise to come back more often.

Still waiting for spring to really arrive so I can get the plastic car out. Still waiting (it's now a theme) for our contractor to finish the basement.

While waiting I'm about to attempt building a table for our as of yet used Big Green Egg, it will either be a thing of beauty with outstanding functionality or a collection of sticks and sawdust... time will tell.

Late March we took a brief 8 day vacation in Varadero Cuba. I've never been there and with all due respect; I wanted to visit before it finally gets back on America's vacation radar.

In a word or two we LOVED IT, the people are amazing, very friendly and we felt very safe. the food was better than we thought it would be and they have customer service down to an art. Would I go back? YES

enough said, here are some pics.....

Looks warm. Had a 'hopefully' last dusting of snow here. Damn you!

The bird looks an awful lot like a Piping Plubber that migrates to our beaches in the summer. They are now endangered here so I'm happy to see they are relaxin on a resort.

I hear ya, Wayne. I was in the Outer Banks of NC a couple of weeks ago and need more beach ASAP.

Thanks for sharing the pix - looks fabulous. Nice Thunderbird! I had heard that they made great efforts to maintain their 1950s U.S. cars since they stopped getting new ones with the embargo. Did you see a lot of them?

Bears, beets, Battlestar Galactica.

Yes I did, I'll post some car pics early tomorrow. It's a bit of a deception, due to the embargo, and a total shortage of parts most of them are "hybrids" powered by whatever they can get their hands on. A lot use Mercedes diesels or Mitsubishi emgines.

It's not just a few you see, at times it was nothing but 50's cars. Just like going back in time smile.
