What can I say???? The word amazing comes to mind! I am very happy with my choice. I was very happy to also listen to wonderful full bass as that is what I was worried about! After recently changing my NAD 320BEE for a 372, I now can really push the volume without having to worry. To think that I almost bought JM Lab for double the price!

I would have only one gripe however and that is the cheap grills!!! They are not very solid and will not protect anything besides dust!!! This is something you should definately change AXIOM! The speaker itself is very well made but this grill takes away some of the value in my opinion. They look better without grills anyways!

I don't even know if I will continue using my sub as I don't need it anymore at all! Maybe I will sell it and get a pair of M 40's to put in the "B" channel of my system now.

congrats dan.. i to had a few doubts about the bass ability of the M60's.. but after countless positive reviews, and owners who cant stop raving about them, i dont think i will have any reservations when i place my order.

i am gonna get jealous of all these "i just got my speakers" posts.. i cant wait til i can say that..

Hey Danman, I agree on the sub thing. I just had a new Hsu VTF-3 Mk2 delivered but I still think most of the time for pure stereo listening I prefer the M60's alone. Trouble is the more equipment you get the more experimentation there is to do!

I have had my m60s for TWO WHOLE DAYS. And I'm a huge bass addict. When I first demoed them at squirrelz's with and w/o sub I thought I badly want a sub and was considering the m22s + a good sub. But I couldn't be bothered with upgrading every 3 months so I got something (the m60s) that would last me longer and I'm really thrilled at the fact that it will sound even better when I eventually :
1. Get a sub
2. Upgrade my denon 1604 to a more powerful one

But bottomline is, I thought I'd really miss the sub but right now, i don't, the bass is fuller and more satisfying that I had imagine it would be!

In the beggining I thought music sounded better on the M60s without the sub. Now I've changed my mind a bit. After tuning the sub the way it should be, music sounds great with it.

I've done some experimenting and I prefer 90% of the music with the sub. Even more so with properly recorded material where the bass isn't boomy. I've listened to some rock music where the LFE output was so high and I've also listned to some raggae/hip hop where the bass is just right with the sub. Ironic.

For classical with low tones a sub is a great compliment. This is with a VTF-2

I've mentioned it before, but I guess it's worth saying again...

I have the M60ti's and a Hsu VTF-2. For movies I keep the Hsu crossed over at 80hz, and about +2db. For most music I like the sub crossed over much lower, 40 or 60hz, with +0db.

And you keep switching between those settings spiff?

Interesting.
I have my EP350 set for around 50Hz with my M60s set to large.
See this old poll.

My Rotel remembers the settings. If it's receiving a Dolby Digital or DTS signal it knows to crossover at 80hz and +2db. In music modes it's 60hz and +0db. The only time I need to manually change a setting it between 40 and 60hz for music if I feel like it.
