...then check this out.

Martin Tallstrom - Foggy Mountain Breakdown

So far, I have LOVED everything I've played by him. Reminds me of Leo Kotke, back in the day.

Check out his version of A Whiter Shade of Pale or Shuffle Rag.

Holy heck! That's unbelievable.

It seems to me that discovering new music is a lot like making new friends, which is one of the best parts of life.

Jack, I was just thinking of you this morning as I pondered how much I continue to enjoy Lake Street Dive thanks to your introduction. Now, here you are, again.

Thanks, Jack. You brightened my day.

Thanks Jack, that's awesome!

I agree with you Tom, I've "discovered" some incredible musicians thanks to some of the members here. Jonn Gomm is another amazing act someone posted here a while back, amazing.

WOW! Very cool, Adrian. As a former guitar player, I find myself wondering how often he breaks a string doing all the detuning and retuning. That can really be tough on strings. It's also not easy to do and he really does it well, hitting the right pitches very quickly.

Thanks Jack, Adrian. Great stuff.

Those two guys make it looks so easy, I'm pretty sure I hate them.

As a guitarist I can say, he has impeccable right hand technique.

Here a decent clip of Adrian Legg

Be sure to watch the part at about 1:30-1:45 where he bends a whole bunch of notes by turning the keys on open strings. It's a wild technique that he uses to great effect; I don't know that I've seen anyone else play like that.

This is another good one, but I'm not keen on the Brad Jones performance pasted on the end of it.

I'll be damned! He's got Scrugg's tuners, or something similar, on his guitar which is why he can be so precise with his pitches when de-tuning and retuning.

EDIT: AH! Keith tuners.

The headstock is non-unique, except for the Scruggs style banjo. Bill Keith at the Beacon Banjo Company in Woodstock, NY, USA makes these. They allow Legg to change tunings quickly between or during songs.

On the rear side of each tuner are two tiny thumb wheels that allow the tuner to be tuned and de-tuned to a fixed position. On the headstocks front side are six levers that pull the strings to a tighter or looser position.
