Hey, I'd love some thoughts on a prospective purchase of these at least cosemtically damaged M22s and a VP100. I am going on the assumption that they sound fine - unfortunately, the seller is about 30 minutes from me, so I can't listen to them unless/until I decide to set up a visit. But he advertises them as sounding fine. Assuming they sound okay when I test them, what are your thoughts? They are being listed for $155 for all three, dropped from original $195, and I'm thinking the price can come down more, given the major cosmetic damage to one enclosure and two of the woofers.

Do you think the damaged VP100 enclosure has any hope of being repaired? What I covet most are the M22s, because I need a new set of living room bookshelf speakers, so for the right price I'd gladly get the M22s and consider the center speaker as a throw in. These will either go in my current HT with my QS4s, replacing some ascend acoustic bookshelves, or they'll go in the new living room stereo-sonos setup, complementing M30s in the kitchen-sonos system and M60s in the critical-listening bedroom.

Sounds like a fair price...I'd still hear them first just to be sure. Find out how old they are too, that has a bearing on the price. Which woofers are damaged, the VP's or the M22's? if the VP100's woofers AND cabinet are damaged, it's not really worth anything imo.

It looks like the outside cover (not sure of the tech term) is damaged on one MP22's mid-range and on the other MP22's woofer. I don't think (someone please correct me) this will automatically mean the sound is bad, and certainly not that the driver is damaged - but a listening test will tell on that point.

The VP100 appears to have pristine drivers, just a suck-ass enclosure.

(Does the VP100 use the same drivers as an M22, cause this opens up some possibilities ...)

They do use the same drivers so that would be a good idea to swap them or use them as spares if needed. Make sure you check them out carefully in person though.
