Which is the prefered (best) method for connection:
1)Connect directly to the Rec/Amp speaker post.
2)Connect at speaker end or "T" off the speaker line at some point.
Or does it make a difference.

I'd like to "T" off my speaker runs for a 2 Zone setup.
My AV/Rec has no subout for Z2. The speakers are connected to wall plate in main room then run inwall & across attic to the far wall in living room. The sub will sit on the near wall side, just on the other side of speaker plate. I'd install a wall plate in the living room & "T' off from the the other wall plate(along with a 12v trigger line).

As usuall, its a Mrs. thing. Wants music in that room too but wants to be able to "move things" whistle

I'm thinking it doesn't make a difference.

Axiom subs don't have a cross-over on any of their inputs, only a low-pass filter. I know the line-level input is a simple Y (or T, which ever 3-branch letter you like). I'd guess the high-level inputs are handled the same way. So if you make your own T before the sub, or use the one internal to it, you'll get the same effect.

For my EP-400s, I am required to use their Speaker Level Inputs from my Tube Integrated Amp's Speaker Out Posts.

My long run of speaker wires run under baseboards to the back of each sub where they attach to the Speaker In Posts. It is there where I've joined the speaker wires that go to the sats. So at the Speaker In Posts, both sets of wires are attached there & cinched up securely with the subs' screw nut.

Works just fine...

What I said is still true, but I was thinking there were "ins" and "outs" for the high-level input, and that they were Y'd inside. That's not even the case, there's only a set of inputs. So even more obviously, it doesn't matter where you split up the wires.
