Found these today.
Mom has piles of cool old stuff including several speaker pairs.

They were hiding below the pool table for the last +/- 9 years. Who knew?

They sound great, the mellow sound is quite pleasing. It reminds me of hippies. I could have been the song.

That's a good question.
As soon as we hooked them up and started to listen she shooed me away.
I only had time for one song and a few close ups.
Thinking about it after I should have taken a few dimensions, and a few side profiles from a distance.
If I get my hands on them I'll see if they can be opened up.
More pictures to follow (maybe).
She know's I'll take/buy them if necessary.
I just thought it was a cool find, sitting there, waiting to be discovered.
I doubt the serial number is the original, its too white. You ever know.

If your memory is better than mine, you might be able to find them here:

I just checked my vintage AX2s from the early 90s that are languishing in my garage. They have the same type of very white serial number sticker - #3630 - so it seems authentic...

They were cubicle, had the 3 screw tweeter and the port on the back.
Except for the port location it would appear to be the original AX 1. I'll confirm one day.

Just looking at the AX Sub thinking these would be interesting as V4's.
Dual(new)amps, twice the volume of the EP400, new drivers (we know Andrew's working on them, it'll be our little secret). Dual 5" cast mids and the new tweeter...
I'd be interested...Just sayin'.

Memory is fuzzy already.
I did like the sound. That I remember.
If I can get them I'll be using them as rear surrounds 6' from my current seat or 4' from what will become the back row.
