Hi all, I have ordered the M80 HPs with a trade in of my present M80 v3s. I have now a VP180 V3 center speaker. I would like to have HPs across the front but I am nearing my budget limits and my wife's boil over point. I am really interested in the VP160 HP the price compared to the 180 HP is quite a bit less. I'm also drawn to its driver layout. Now I can either keep the VP 180 or get the VP160 HP. I am happy with the 180 but... so curious about the 160 HP! I might add that all 3 will be driven by the ADA 1500.

My question is has anyone here had the opportunity to have listen to both or done a comparison between the two? Or just voice their opinion. If its a wash I will just keep the 180 but I sure would like to have a complete HP match up front.

Why not just upgrade your 180 to the HP version, that's what I'm doing.

I've got the HP version of the LFR's with a "standard" 180 and the 180 keeps up with the LFR's just fine.

Dakkon,That is what I have decided to do. With the amount I can get on trade in, it is doable financially for me. Also I saw that the 160 is much taller then the 180. I had to modify my stand considerably to fit the 180. I would need to find/purchase another to accommodate the the 160 HP under the Kuro... another added expense.
