has anyone had a chance to audition? it could be interesting to compare to Axiom's line.

I have noticed a few funny things - their S8 has one tweeter, one midrange and FOUR woofers. Yet, it's LFE is rated not as deep as their C5 center channel speaker.

Secondly, their center channels look strangely familiar in shape to my VP150...

The sub, however, looks great. 1200RMS amp and 11hz LFE. Sure, that's mostly useless, but if you have a real big listening room, i'm sure it REALLY rumbles!!!

Those are some pretty nice looking speakers..

I like their photoshop work and photography on the website too! (hint hint axiom) If nothing else the S8 certainly have that intimidating look. i dont even wanna know how much they cost though! yikes!

Those speakers in rosewood are... WOW.

Generally, if you plug a model number into Google, it will provide a pretty impressive list of pricing looks. Also, PriceGrabber is a decent option.

I hear the signature this weekend at the Montréal Audio Show. The only reseller in Québec is Radio St-Hubert and the 5.1 system cost 25000$ CDN$. Comes with:
2 x S8
1 x C5
2 x ADP
1 x Servo

The system is totally awesome but was driven by the top of the line Anthem Pre-amp and the top of the line Anthem AMP. The Servo sub is equipped with a system that remember where the driver is supposed to be and repositionned it via a mechanism when the bass signal is "gone" to avoid boominess.

All in all, excellent system seriously for the price. We've seen much more expensive stuff that was not sounding as good as the Paradigm Signature. We were 5 and were impressed by the quality of the sound. The sound was a bit too loud though sometimes but anyway, Paradigm was there to "show off" there top of the line and it was a success!

I also want to add a few things...... At 25k, it's just the speakers so you "still" have no sound... (No amp, no pre-amp, no dvd player, no nothing!!!)

If you have specific questions, just ask, i'll try to answer to the best of what the Paradigm guru explained us.

COMPARISON To Axiom VP150 and QS8 ... No comparison possible IMO. I had the VP150 and QS8 for two weeks and in all respect, the are inferior by a big margin but hey, they cost almost 10 times the price of the Axiom.

Last one, Infinity comes with a new serie called the "Beta" serie. They plan to mass-market this speaker. The Energy 50 with ceramic mix for woofers will go for somewhere in the 1500$ CDN$ range. BEFORE buying the Energy (I heard the Beta40), compare them with some M80's first because IMO, they were colored and were boomy but you have to hear both head to head to really compare but still, Infinity is coming with a new serie very soon. Not even on the US site yet but here's the address that the distributor gave me.

Enjoy!

Just to let you know, Radio St-Hubert has them IN STOCK and you can hear them... They are located on Plaza St-Hubert. They are really friendly guy over there. Either if you go there and have 500$ or 25k in your pocket for a complete system, they will ALWAYS treat you well. Talk to Vincent or Christian. They even loan me the highest Klipsch Reference speakers to compare them with the Axiom...
