i just got off the phone with brent, and i have placed my order. one pair M60ti's, one pair QS8's, and one VP150 center channel.. all in a custom cabinet of Classic Oak, with burnt sienna screens.......................................................................................................................................breath.....ooooohhhhhhhhhhh..

its a done deal man.. expect shipment in 5-6 weeks, hyperventilate everyday til then..

i just wanna thank all ya'll for the fantastic input and advice. not only on the speakers, but on helping me get my ONKYO 701 receiver to push the damn things.. i have enjoyed, and will continue to enjoy, my time on this forum..

i probably wont be in here as much for a while, just so i can relax my brain til the speakers get here. i have been HT,HT,HT,HT,HT,HT for 3 months.. plus, the more time i spend in here and see all these great HT pics, the harder it will be to wait the 5-6 weeks.

i can say no more.. thanks again for all the help. i hope everyone has a great evening..

I've had mine now (same as yours - different finish) for about a month and I still grin like a fool when I get home from work each day. Watched X-Men 2 last night in dts and it was the best surround experience so far. Waiting to watch LOTR on the set-up until I get the third extended edition - then it'll be a 12 hour movie marathon nestled in my new chamber of orgasmo audio.

You won't regret it, Bigjohn. Congrats. BTW - if you're low on paper towels, you may want to grab some the day you get the speakers set up so you don't drool Homerstyle all over the remotes...

i have noticed that this config of speakers seems to be most popular, so i reckon its got to be good. i am a little concerned that my space may be a little big(28x26x8), but i am sure the 60's will be fine. that comes to 5800cu ft of total air space, and the 60's are rated from 3000-6000.. so i am on the edge of their range. but in the end, the cost would have been toooo much for the 80's, and a 4ohm receiver to push them..

so now its the waiting game.. please lord, have mercy on me!!!

I'm sure the 60's will work well for you. In a space that huge you're going to want a really kick-butt sub though. (Heck, maybe even two!)
