Opinions?? Upgrading to VP160 V4 from my VP100 V2 in a large room with M60 V2 QS8 V2. Is the V4 vs V2 anything to worry about?
BTW...... Hello Axiom forum peeps. Good to see some of you guys still holding down the fort. ![]()

AFAIK there should be no problem. The difference between V2 and V4 should be subtle improvements, not "a different sound".
There might be slight efficiency differences from the different crossovers so you might need to tweek the center channel level by a dB or so, but that's just something to watch out for not a known issue. [EDIT - forget about v2 to v4 differences, you're going from VP100 to VP180 so you're probably going to have to tweak the level anyways] I'm running a VP180 (which I think was introduced at v3) with M60ti's, which I think is more of a generation gap than you will have, and there's no noticeable timbral difference between them. I haven't done real A/B testing but the pink noise sounds very similar between M60 and VP180, which was not the case with the original VP100. Edited by bridgman (08/16/14 05:05 PM)

Brady, good to hear from you again. The VP160 should be an entirely positive experience compared to the VP100.

Yeah, we're all thinking "why's Bray planning to buy such a small center speaker ?"
