I have read of many owners having failing laser assemblies or color engines. Mine (knock on wood), has not yet exhibited any telltale signs of failure. Mine remains as bright and colorful as the day it was purchased. I'm hoping that it holds out for another 3-5 years until 4K displays of this size can be found for under $4K. ;-)

Craig, the Netflix fireplace would look so much more spectacular on an 82" Sammy!
