Two days of this & I've had enough!! The flooding is a 5 minute drive from my Comox, BC location in the neighbouring town of Courtenay; however, thankfully we normally don't flood on my street. What makes this situation worse is the high tide that comes up the estuary, impedes the river flow & of course raises the water level quite far up the river that causes it to spill its banks. Watch here, (warning - annoying sound): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V8xyUrl-XXwThe only good thing is that the southern US west coast is getting some much needed rain, although probably too much all at once... Makes me want to raise my towers again...actually I was already considering it, this makes me want to sooner. We had 80+km gusts with driving rain last night. I should be -20° this time of year. Guess I'll enjoy it while I can.

TAM Great. You can ship them to Ontario and we'll freeze em for you. Two minutes on the back step should do it.

Looking at Axiom's home page right now, it looks a lot more like a traditional Canadian White Christmas than here.
I hear that we had around 7 inches of rain here in 2 days. That is a lot even for here...

I've got almost 10" of snow since last night. The plow has come by three times already. Really glad I picked up a second snowblower for the deck. Seemed wasteful at the time but it makes a huge difference -- if I don't keep up with the snow then it melts, refreezes, and is there until spring unless I use explosives to break it up. Speaking of explosives, binary "reactive" rifle targets are finally available in Canada. Mine arrived a few days ago, waiting for the weekend to take them out for a spin. http://www.gryphonenergetics.com/

Record rainfall in the last 24 hours here on the island. Bridges out even. Speakers in basement are dry! Phew.

I had asked my insurance agent about coverage for my equipment when we bought in August (2013) and was surprised to learn with appropriate documentation they would insure me against flood and even self imposed damage. I might look into this a bit more. I like in a flood prone area, about 2'higher than most around me but...

We have been getting insane winds almost every other day. The wind around here has been oddly strong for the past 3 years or so. It's nothing for my place to be hit with 100km/h winds at midnight while I'm trying to sleep. The west side got hit with 140km/h late yesterday.
Temps are all over the place, hence the wind. Weather is just getting odd.

Maybe your speakers keep getting blown back to the mainland before they can reach the dock...
