I just built this whole thing today. lemme tell ya, ive had enough! Been using dreamweaver and paint shop almost all day. my eyes are giving out, as well as my typing lol. but here it is. The new, improved, professional Haoleb website.
Let me know how the loading times are for everything, all the pics have been optimized etc, the whole site is 1.04 MB, which was alot less than i was expecting consideirng how many pics & graphics i have. Enjoy! everything should work perfectly, if not let me know.
And lemme know what ya think! its sure alot better then the stupid site i had before using the angelfire basic editor ... Just realized i forgot to put a title for most of the pages. sigh. oh well.
Might have more pages and stuff to come someday but for now im pretty happy with it.

Very well-done, Brandon. Everything loaded quickly and was very clear. Nice photography; I especially liked the stormy and fiery skies. However, I suspect that we'll all be upset if in the links Axiom remains listed after NAD.

Enjoy the music, not the equipment.

Wonderful Brandon! Like JohnK, I loved the photos. I'm assuming the two he mentioned were of the ocean, as opposed to a lake somewhere. I was stunned at how calm the water was. When I think of the ocean around Hawaii, I think of the "pipeline" and big waves.
Being of the opposite persuasion, I admire your work ethic. I can do "nothing" better than "anything."
Really enjoyed it.

I bet I can do nothing better than you... hehe
Maybe we should all just take a week off. Does lying on the couch listening to music count as "something", "anything", or "nothing"?

I'm on broadband and your site loaded in less than a second. As other have said it's very clean and easy to navigate.
I am sooo glad I didn't have to navigate minutes of annoying Flash nonsense. Well to be honest I wouldn't. I avoid Flash infested sites like the plague.
About "Stormy Illusions", beautiful shot, was there any post processing involved with it?

Very nice Haoleb.
You have way more time than i do.
My wife's cousin also has way more time than i do. All the pics on her site are her own taken with a $350 digital cam. Both pic sets are equally impressive.
I just love photography.

The storm pics were not taken on the ocean, the day the ocean looks like that is when pigs fly! actually, they were taken in my swimming pool. lol. and there was NO photoshopping or enhancing in any way on those photos. except for resizing them.
I used to ride my bike alot, but then i started crashing everytime i got on it and well, i havent riden since. never did anything 'hardcore' or nothing when i did ride. i would like to add more pics to the gallery but for each new page i add, i have probbly 20 links i need to do. so its obviosly a pita. thanks.

It would only be "nothing" if your brain was completely empty of thought. If you are "enjoying' the music, then it's "something." My brain is completely empty of thought all the time. (No cracks, Ray! Or anybody else for that matter! )
I'm so glad that the photos weren't the ocean. It would have ruined my concept of what the "Pacific" looked like.

Nicely done, Brandon. The pictures are very well edited -- you've got masking down well.

Same here.
Looks like Ravi and I were much better than Haloeb at doing nothing in our youth.
All of that hard work paid off.

nice website, haole-boy.. i had gone to the other one, before you changed it up. i like the new one much better. its cleaner and faster.
since you like tubes, heres a fond memory of mine. growing up, my dad had an old stereo receiver that he bought when he had come back from vietnam in the early 70's. i dont know the brand, but knowing my dad, it was probably one of the top-of-the-line products at the time.. anyway, he had 4 speakers(one in each corner), and just used to BLARE that thing at high volumes all the time.. and the tubes in that receiver would get so hot, you could see them glowing thru the air slits, and it would cast this trippy, vertical looking glow on the wall behind the receiver. and you could smell this sort of sweet electronic burning smell. and the heat was incredible, you could almost make 'smores it was sooo damn hot. and when we moved, the wall directly behind the receiver was all black and stained from the years of extreme heat coming from the receiver.
its funny the stupid stuff you can remember when you try.

the first time i ever remember hearing the term haole-boy was about 10 years ago on some surfer movie.. it was about some kid who had won a surfing comp at a 'wave-pool' at some arizona waterpark. he then goes to the north shore to tackle the real waves and is not well accepted by the locals. especially when he starts to date the sister of one of the local surfers.. but in the end, he gets the girl, almost wins the surfing competition, and all the locals grow to respect his determination and courage..
AAAHHH, dont you just love hollywood endings...

oh good lord, that movie was north shore and that was some of the worst pidgin i've EVER heard.
in fact it was on HDNet the other day. believe me, being in HD did not save this movie at all. I love hawaii, go back at least once a year. No, not a local but as a filipino get mistaken for one all the time, as long as I keep my mouth shut. love surfing and actually listen to local music like Fiji, krater boys, ho aikane (back in the day) but this movie STILL makes my skin crawl. though nia peeples is still hot...

NORTH SHORE, thats it.. i agree, not a good movie. i cant believe i couldnt remember the name, and yes, peebles was super hot..
BTW, if you are into surfing movies, go check out this website. it is a documentary type movie that was released in limited theaters this past summer and is soon to be released on dvd. it was made by the son of the guy who made the 'endless summer' movies back in the 60's. anyway, i saw in san antonio, and was just blown away.. a visually spectacular movie. for those of you with 'awesome' tvs/plasma/HD/DPL/etc, you might wanna check this one out.
sorry to hijack haole-boy..

If you are really in to surfing movies, I hear the Jack Johnson movies are supposed to be really good. He even won an ESPY award for one of them. I've never actually seen them, but I will get around to it.
