I ordered a 128 gig USB stick. I'll play around with it. I know memory is getting cheaper, but I had no idea I could get a stick with this much memory, this cheap. It was only 35 bucks.

Reason I use so much memory, is a two part thing. 1) I have all my music ripped in two formats. FLAC and 320 bit. 2) I like to listen to various genre's at random. The IPod is generally full.

I hate building playlists. It takes way too much time. So I just use the ITunes Genius function. It has its faults, but work OK, most of the time.

I don't know about your truck, but my Edge has the equivalent to the genius playlist function. you can on a song select play simular and it will generate songs like what is playing into a list for you

Depending upon what is in your vehicle, you may be limited to MP3 on a jump drive.

Oh sorry..... Up above I meant to include that I use the 320bit MP3 for the IPod. The FLAC rips are just there for lossless storage of the CD's I buy. I buy a CD, rip it with DB Poweramp, and then I throw the CD's in a box. I have DBP set to rip both formats simultaneously. Then I just go into I Tunes and odd the MP3 folder to the I Tunes library.

The USB thumb drive seems to be worked fine. It is quite a bit slower than the Ipod whenever I start the truck, but at least I'm not having any of the weird issues I was with the Ipod now. My truck's head unit does sort the songs well enough that I can just pick a genre and hit shuffle. Or all, and shuffle.

Thanks for the help and tips fellas!
