These all sound (sic) great, Ian!

I'm looking forward to it more than ever! I love the idea of the 3.5mm jack in back for a cleaner look!

Not to be forward, but will the features that have been added all go into the non-amp, non-speaker version as well??

Andrew, the volume control and LEDs sound like cost, lead-time and MTBF hits to me with little added value. My UI is my phone or tablet so why do I need this extra hardware?

The maximum volume level setting may be useful for some but I will never use it. For me, it's more code that needs to be tested and maintained.

The front 3.5 mm jack is a must for sure. This is where the competition suffers actually. You have to get at the back of the unit to plug a source in. That's no good for some use cases.

I see the back 3.5 mm jack as more gold plating because I don't mind a small cable coming out the front and I don't mind having to unplug it to plug another source in.

Spotify would be terrific! I don't know what TIDAL is. I don't know what I don't know when it comes to these services actually. Since you seem to be up on them, it would be a terrific educational experience for me (and my buddies) if you could teach us.

With regard to these services, my hope would be a platform where I can install whatever music services I like. Just like I can do that now on my PCs, tablets, phones, etc. And I can get on whatever internet radio stations I want by typing in their address and saving them to my favorites. That's a good epic you and the software team can work on :-).

You need a volume control on the unit, I don't understand why there isn't. Mom/girlfriend/child etc are all going to want to turn it up or down "easily". No Master Volume is just weird. Two simple flat buttons for up/dwn is all that is needed. I love the ability to limit the volume in the gui though...excellent.

But don't listen to me, I missed the kickstarter like an idiot so I can't buy one now anyways.

But I do thank Andrew for answering my questions.

That's EXACTLY why we don't want hard buttons :-).

When these buttons get dirty or their membrane contacts no longer work, your AxiomAir will make a great doorstop.

What's with the power button? Why do we need one? Why can't we turn it on and off with the UI?

Mojo, Axiom needs to design this unit for more people than just you. I, for one, don't like it when a device that is usually controlled by a remote control doesn't have buttons for its basic functions on it somewhere.

Totally agreed, Peter. As long as Axiom includes all the stuff I'm asking for. Including the subwoofer output on the Axiom Air Gateway.

Didn't they already point out that the subwoofer output on the small device didn't make any sense?

Ken, Andrew correctly pointed out the sub out gain can't be controlled with the receiver. As a result, he decided that it didn't make sense to include a sub out.

My buddies and I planned to fix the receiver gain and vary it using the Air's UI. I therefore see no reason to trap that first 30 Hz.

What about the stuff that I'm asking for? Or Joe, or Bob, or Frank?

At some point, with a posted delivery date of October-ish, they need to finalize the feature set.

I'm thankful that, as Andrew noted above, they added features beyond the ones that I've already paid for.

I, in no way, expect them to keep going back to the drawing board over and over again.
