Hi dant

That Technics is a wonderful match with the M3s! I ran a Technics SADX940 with a pair of M3s and a Velodyne CHT80 for a while as my stereo system.

My Office system:
Sony STR DB1070 6 channel receiver
Kenwood SW300 sub
Merak MC6H center
Michaura M55s front speakers
Michaura M55s side surrounds
Mission 77ds back speaker.
Zenith DVD2381 Progressive Scan, DTS, DD, HDCD player
Hitachi Ultrascan HD 43"

Bedroom:
Onkyo TX DS797
Denon PMA 500 V amp for back surrounds
Center - Merak MC6H
Fronts - Michaura M665s
Sub - Velodyne CHT100
Sides - Michaura M55s
Backs - Mission 77ds
Sony 53" HDTV

The Kenwood SW300 is much more powerful and musical than the Velodyne CHT100. I was surprised. I intend to upgrade the Velodyne, but I'm not sure what to get.

The Sony has more slam than the Onkyo - may be better for music as well. This surprised me as well.

I have a pair of Axiom M50s and M3s which I will use for the basement HT system. Replaced by the Michaura M665s and M55s. This surprised me most of all. The M3s mids are superior to those of the M55, and the M3s' bass is tighter, but the efficiency and the sweet highs which just go on forever led me to put the M55s in the number one spots.

Forgot about the DVD player in Bedroom - Toshiba SD9200 DVD-A player. I like it a lot!
