Matt, those are what I use also and they are decent quality. Only thing I noticed was when using 14 gauge wire the set screws will screw right out the other side. Soldering the wires solved this for me.

I use the banana plugs from <the place everyone orders banana plugs> - Monoprice maybe ? Anyways, nice and gold-y, happily accept 12 gauge stranded from anyone, and seem to work just fine.

I know I'm going to Axiom's version of the Isle of Elba for this, but I really like Monster Cables' banana plugs. They are dumb easy and hold 12g really tightly. The design is pretty clever. Yes, they list for $20 a pair, but, like I said, they're simple, strong, and more importantly, they are pretty, in a Swiss-Army-Knife sort of way.

For sonic reasons, my right main has to be out in the middle of the room and partly obstructing a double-wide doorway. The ass of an M100 is the first thing you see when you're not even near the room. (Run THAT by your wives and get back to me! Ha!)

If so, the Sewells are twin and a fraction of the price. If you put a dab of anti ox in the cap, then screw it onto the wire, you are set for life. I used mine for 10awg no problems.

Matt, use some type of anti ox compound. Never get the 20milli ohms issue later.

I tie my speaker cable in tight knots to get as much resistance as possible.

I think the amp sounds best when it's really, really straining to push those electrons out.

That looks like them. I still have some of the Monster bananas (brag, brag) kicking around, but they were pretty well discounted when I bought them. I think the last big package (brag) of terminations I got were Sewell, though they were the locking bananas. I splurged at one point and had the ultrasonically welded speaker cables from Blue Jeans Cable for my main left and right channels, but when I moved my system to the basement, I ran the cables a different way and needed to self-terminate (ow). None of the differences in cables and connectors ever resulted in an appreciable difference in sound quality, of course. I stick with bananas for the convenience.

As far as locking versus normal banana connectors, I never had a problem with the normal ones slipping out, so for most people I imagine it's going to be a non-issue.

Zakry like that! That's a great tip, 4 years and 9 months later than I needed, but thanks just the same, Trevor. And it really won't help me in the future, either, as I bought extras before Radio Shack went OOB around here.
