I'm having problem mounting QS4 onto the wall using the included bracket. In order to use this bracket, the back of the QS4 should be flat. How can you have a flat back if you'll using banana plugs or any type of plug for speaker wires?

hi heavyd,

You're going to have to go without the plugs. I don't use plugs on my QS8s but do use plugs on my mains, only for convenience purposes. Just twist all the strands together and slide them through the post and tighten that sucker down.

Some feel a bare wire connection like this is best, some feel terminators are best...unless you're soldering your termination and heat shrinking a sleeve over it (to prevent corrosion), I don't see where you gain anything using a plug or spade aside from convenience if you plan on plugging and unplugging for whatever reason.

Greetings,
Depending on the size of your connectors, the QS4 & 8's both come with adhesive "bumpers" that are about 3/8" thick that are used to keep the bottom of the speakers from rubbing on the wall. They might give you enough clearance to use the plugs...

Alan warned me about this when I got my QS8s. Although I used banana plugs for the other speakers, I only used the bare wire for the surrounds. With the little bumpers they included, the wire hides nicely behind the speakers.

Duhh...why didn't I think of not using the plug. I finally put mine up and it's working fine. Thanks for your help.
