@michelangelo - in case a couple of my Q got missed:
- Pi Root & User Accounts: What is the Login / Password
- Is there any way to get a full signal output (to feed another amp)?
- Any plans to support DLNA Sync (Multi Renderer)

Thanks
Nathan

Hi Jmone,
the credentials are: volumio/volumio

- However, we'll disable SSH soon (but with an option to re-enable it).
- Don't really know
- Not as of now...

Q: - How do you take your Air to the "Beach"?

By this I mean, you have the Air working and connected to your Home Network, but if I pick it up and take it to the beach/picnic (any where where you don't have your WiFi), how do you connect to the Air from your phone at that point?

I tried just plugging my phone in using USB (MTP) and it was being charged by the Air (and apparently allowing access) but no connection to the App was being made that I could see.

Thanks
Nathan

Hi Nathan,

In answer to your beach question; when your AxiomAir gets out of range of your home network it will switch to Hotspot mode and the blue LED will start flashing. You will now be able to find your AxiomAir in your WiFi networks and connect to it.

On mine, the hotspot works but sometimes it's "flaky". I can always connect but not the first or second time.

One thing I don't understand, but admittedly haven't researched, happened to me last week. I brought it to work and I noticed besides the usual "AxiomAir" network, an "AxiomAir-59b4e7" also popped up. The AxiomAir didn't work but the other one did.

I would agree with Mojo the hotspot can be flaky. This could be as much the fault of the devices connecting to the AxiomAir as the Air itself. Many devices. Android especially will prefer or even aggressively attempt to move off the Air's wifi since it offers no internet connection. This is my experience anyway.

Also the captive portals on iOS and android both seem to struggle with the Air

@michelangelo I submitted another log tonight with the air connected to Ethernet and attempting AirPlay. Same results as before. Let me know if you need more logs.

Another note on the hardware side. Connecting the Ethernet cable I notice the cable I used had a clip that was quite high on the RJ45 connector. This resulted in a very difficult time in removing the cable. It is very cramped area where the port is. Not a big deal for me as I don't plan to use it with wired connection but thought it was something to note. If you want a pic I can post one or send it over
