Just a little FYI.
I just recently received a pair of M 3 bookshelfs. I'm using the FMB to wall mount them as rear surrounds. I found it odd that with the FMBs I can no longer use banana plugs, not sufficient clearance, so for the time being will use bare wire. If I decide to keep them (swapping out QS8s for a comparison) I might try wire spades. That would be a secure enough connection.

Do you think the FMBs got shorter (speaker closer to the wall) or did the speaker connectors (5-way jacks still ?) get longer ? I don't remember noticing a difference with my M60v4's but I may not have looked closely enough...

IIRC the FMB fastens to the speaker above the connectors, right ? If so then turning the speaker upside down (so tilting it down moves the connectors away from the wall rather than towards it) is the usual trick.

I have had the same issue with M22s. The part of the speaker below the attachment is a lot longer than with QS-8. So the smallest inclination puts the connector very close to the wall.
It's not really a big deal, but a small warning on the FMB page would be nice to manage expectations.

Hi Guys,
The FMBs with the QS8s there was't much room for the banana plugs but it was enough. If the threaded hole for the mounting screw for the top half of the bracket was a bit higher on the back of the M 3 there probably would be enough room. The threaded hole is fairly close to the connectors putting the bracket in the way. Yeah, inverting the speaker would also do the trick but I think I'll stick with using wire spades.

Just FYI, I'm wasn't suggesting turning them upside down only to make wiring easier, I would be turning them upside down for sound reasons anyways (whenever I put bookshelf speakers on an actual bookshelf I find they usually sound better inverted).

Then again it depends on how high you are mounting them...
