Got the mono cable but it still doesn't work.
This EP500 was a refurbished one which I just received. Was it fully tested?

If you have a dvom you could measure the trigger output from the receiver just to be sure . Also if you have another receiver with a trigger you could give that a go. If you can confirm its both function but its a voltage mismatch you could try one of these .
