Can anyone tell me which screw on this unit is the Chassis ground. I cannot seem to find this model anywhere online and its got a hum I'd like to troubleshoot.

Hi MarkE,

That amp dates back to before we started making our own sub amps so it will not have the Chassis Ground screw

Thanks Ian. I have tried it in different outlets and without a connection to the amp. Still not getting much sound but when it's turned up I get hum and or reverb. Any thoughts? I have also tried it on different amps with the same result. I have played with phase and crossover but had no luck. Having said that, I am no expert.

Thanks again for the quick response.

It sounds like you may have more going on then just some ground loop hum. I am pretty sure there is no back bucket behind that version of amplifier which rules out putting a new amp in your EP125. Have you considered trading it in for a new sub through our Trade-Up program?

Sounds like something I'd be interested in. What's the process?

Hey Ian, I just saw the trade up button. I have no idea on most of these questions since it's been some time since I got the sub. It was in a set of 6 speakers(5.1). I picked it up at the audio centre. I am sure I no longer a have the receipt.

The serial number returned nothing.

It looks like the retail on your EP125 was $300. In the trade-up tab you can select "I don't have one" for the question about the serial number. Enter $300 in the amount paid section and then take your best guess at the date of purchase. It will put your trade-up credit in your cart.

HI Ian, I'm finally getting my new home theatre setup and went to do the upgrade. Does the $300 still apply?

Thanks

Mark
