I know this is probably dumb, but I'm looking at "slimming" down my existing speaker setup in one of the rooms (currently M80s, VP150, QS8). As it is a Brick Wall, I can't go In-Wall / In-Cabinet but I'm thinking the M22 On-Walls will not cut it coming from M80s. So I was wondering if I could get either: - Custom M60 or M80's as On Wall (but the 5.25" woofer is going to be a problem), or - Vertical Mount a pair of VP150s In Walls - Other ideas?
Thanks Nathan

I don't know what your room looks like, but my first thought would be to build some false columns and recess the M80's into them, with whatever amount Axiom recommends sticking out (eg a few inches).

Or if you want that lower bass sound, you can do the M22 on walls and put in a sub

Nathan, I think I'd have a hard time going from M80's to a smaller speaker. However I do have the M22 in/on wall (now discontinued but it's like the in walls and on walls combined) and I do think they sound great with a good sub. What about doing wall mounted bookshelf speakers instead of the on walls? I would not recommend vertical VP150's. They are designed for horizontal placement.

Hi Nathan,
We could make you a custom pair of on-wall M80s. You would want to have a sub running too. The width and depth would be the same as the M3 on-wall and the height the same as an M80.

Hi Ian, That sounds like an option, I'll keep the existing sub (but put it at the back of the room). Could I get a quote for a pair of On Wall M60 and M80. Thanks Nathan
PS - This is all driven by my wife's interior "designer"....

Wow, ask a question in the forums and before you know it you're getting a quote for a factory built custom speaker. Aside from amazing sound for the price, there are so many additional reasons to recommend Axiom. Kudos Ian (& company), you really know how to separate yourself from the competition.

Hi Nathan,
It would add 12% to the cost to do the special on-wall cabinets. Does your wife's interior designer want a special finish to match the room?

Hi Ian, Thanks for the reply....I have 0 chance of getting a colour out of the designer at this stage! (edit I'll double check tommorow my time)... but she was happy with "Paintable White" which I see as an option on many of the items. Anyway, I've got a bit of a list: - 1 Pair M80 v4 Special Order On Wall in Paintable White / White Grills - 1 VP150 v4 On-Wall in Paintable White / White Grills - EP500 v4 In-Cabinet Subwoofer in Paintable White / White Grills - 1 Pair M3 In-Wall Speakers in Paintable White / White Grills I also sent an email on the Weekend (yet to hear back) on some replacement parts for my existing two pair of M3 Outside speakers as the grills have rusted and I'm now also missing some completely (they fell off and are now lost). - 2 x Front Grills (frame and mesh) in Almond Bisque and - 2 x Front Grills (frame and mesh) in Paintable White - and 1 Pair of Full Metal Brackets To help with my budget I'm happy to take any HT / Factory Outlet / End of Summer etc discounts that may be on offer as there is no rush on these parts. FYI - I have also already ordered 1 Pair M3 In-Wall Speakers in Paintable White (order #10910308) on the weekend as these I needed in a hurry, but I think forgot to specify White Grills... I'll also e-mail sales now on this (I'll get killed if they turn up black)! Thanks Nathan
