That right there could easily be a paraphrase from Mein Kampf. It's very Hitleresque. Not surprising coming for you.

Hitler? Odious comparisons are the self-righteous left's alternative to discussion.

Yes, our Department of Justice at top levels has become the Left's shield protecting the corrupt leftist ruling elites from justice. House cleaning time. The EPA has become a haven for misanthropic leftist eco cooks who want to deindustrialize our country. Time to clean house. The IRS has become the Left's hammer against conservatives, very Soviet, time to clean house.

Time for our great national enema to begin.

What are you worried about? Isn't California going to leave the union?
Calexit - Yup its a real thing

I was trying to stay completely out of this whole thing, but wanted to warn you that you better leave California in the next year or you will be in a left elitist state (as self-proclaimed by many who are supporting the Calexit).

I live in Orange County, last bastion of the republic in the People's Democratic Republic of Calimexico.

Of course, if the left has its way, California will go the way of Nicaragua, tax the productive population to desperation, regulate industry and agriculture out of business, and demonstrate an inability to provide the population with food, electricity, or toilet paper.

The beautiful Pacific coast would be difficult to leave behind.

For all those left-leaning Americans thinking about coming up here after the election results were in, the King of Canada has spoken:

http://www.cbc.ca/sports/hockey/nhl/don-cherry-no-americans-trump-1.3843743

My (93-year-old) mother's comment as the results started coming in was that we missed a golden opportunity to find a new home for our current PM *and* our current Ontario premier.

She wasn't wrong - Justin Trudeau might have done better in the election than Hilary Clinton, and Kathleen Wynn would probably go over fairly well in California (more so than in Ontario anyways).

I was watching Falling Down last night and thinking that Michael Douglas would make a great US president if only someone could convince him to accept the abuse and the hours.

2x6 - agree.

If nothing else - 3 decades of Clinton corruption did not get rewarded, the biased mainstream media was rebuked, the political elite were rebuffed by the normal folks & the pollsters are now irrelevant (as they have been up here for the past 5 years).

Now many entitled college 'snowflakes' are marching in the streets of the US because they fear that their 'safe spaces & entitlements' are now in jeopardy. It seems that the militant 'Occupy Crowd' is still alive & well. What ever happened to being gracious during a loss, like used to happen some decades ago when society was generally more genteel?

While I normally have no time for Michael Moore, he really nails it here:

It must feel GREAT being liberated from the radical left agenda and the radical progressive left and tyranny you would have had suffered from Hillary Clinton, her corruption and self interests.

I am very happy for your country. The people were smart, sick and tired of the corruption and did NOT buy into the well funded propaganda machine that ran the country previously.

BTW, we have to suffer under a Kathleen Wynne and Justin Trudeau regime. eek

Yes, XLB, I figure higher education has failed to instruct entitled vicious snowflakes not to defecate on police cars, loot stores and beat up old white guys who probably voted for Trump.

Yes BlueJays1 we are temporarily delivered from the unrelenting efforts of the radical progressive left to transform the US into a socialist sh!t hole.

This is flame suit country....

They don't confirm the popular vote until at least Monday...

I wonder what'll happen if he wins it.

No more tears, lol.

Popular vote means NOTHING as the campaigns strategized and invested to win electoral votes rather than the popular vote.

If popular vote meant anything trump would have invested the majority of his campaign resources in NY, California and Texas.

Trump did not even bother with NY and California which have the biggest populations by far and barely campaigned in Texas which is the biggest GOP stronghold state.

We are not the 'torch and pitchfork' crowd. That is how the leftist 'intellectual' elites characterized Trump supporters ... uneducated white red-necks. My friends, lawyers and physicians, almost to a person, supported Trump.

If popular vote were to determine the President, we wouldn't need anything more than the votes from California, Illinois, Washington, Oregon and New York. Ours is a federal system, which assures the smaller states don't get washed out by the huge population centers.

One thing I noticed is that every single small business owner I talked to supported Trump and their decision wasn't close in that regard.

Small businesses are the job creating engine for our country. Obama Care crushes small business and disincentivizes hiring more than 49 employees. Limits growth, strangles job creation, and impoverishes workers.

My point was that if he wins both the popular and the electoral college votes this last 5 days (and nights) of protest will have been for nothing.
Pretty silly protest anyway,IMO.

I wouldn't even call it a protest. A fair portion of the people are "professional activists" (and I use that term loosely) whose sole purpose is to come out to spread hate and anarchy. The issues don't matter. These types of groups are organized all around the country. Even Hillary Clinton and the DNC paid these groups to protest Trump during the campaign and to disrupt Trump rallies as well as the GOP convention.

These protestors are anarcho-communist nihilists. Confused, but violent. Stupid but committed to chaos.

Funded by George Soros (the horned one), the Tides Foundation, Progress Unity Fund, unwashed miscreants like Occupy Wall Street, Black Lives Matter, Act Now to Stop War & End Racism, have taken to the streets where they are rioting and in a state of insurrection.

These are not silly protests. They are riots and insurrection.

The election was not silly. People from all over the country have rejected the socialist elitist politically correct garbage propagated by media, educational and political institutions and the elitists who control them.

Yesterday CNN was commenting on how Trump has broken the chain of succession, the Bush and the Clinton family hold on the US...
I hadn't thought of it that way until they discussed it.

I was trying to understand the level of outrage we're seeing and started asking some of my US friends if they knew any of the... if not protesters then "angry people".

Surprisingly enough the common thread seemed to be people who didn't bother voting but are unhappy with the results... and have to be angry at "someone". I didn't expect that but it makes some sense.

It's big cities more than anywhere else that are 'protesting'. Sanctuary cities where illegal aliens are not questioned, and are filled with the younger citizens who want free education, free, free, free....The socialist left whose rights I defended, in combat, their right to burn the flag and protest. And I am not a republican, or a democrat. I'm as independent as they get. Equally disgusted with both the far left and far right. I just hope and pray that Trump will do as he promised, and drain the swamp in DC.

Thank you! It's great to hear this from an Israel supporter.... Terrorist Bibi, Mark Regev (the Joseph Goebbels of Israel) et al. invoke Hitler and the Holocaust very frequently. Heck, not a day goes by without the JPost invoking one or the other.

Again, well done!

Your comment does not relate to the subject of Trump winning the election any more than your initial post comparing me to Hitler.

Yes, ya basta, I am Jewish and I support the existence of a secure Israel.

I think we all know what you are.

I believe the USA is a great nation and has been a force for good even in light of our struggle to become a more perfect union. We will see if Trump advances that cause.

I believe the overwhelming majority of American law enforcement officers do good work.

I do not believe that the belief that the best reason to own a firearm is to protect yourself from peace officers. In fact, I believe such a belief to be anti-social and most widely held by violent criminals.

Hopefully Mr. Trump can bring some light on that old song "If I can Make it there I'll make it anywhere" as in anyone can do what ever they want. From nothing to King of the world.

Though his mandate for the roll was set long ago{The hopes and promises of everyone's term it seems}" I'm going to legalize, help the poor" and so on.

Another hope is that he doesn't make it too "Multicultural", Here in Vancouver that's what they call a bunch of segregated communities, that never really mix. One neighbourhood for Asians, another for Indians, Caucasians, and so on.

We all emigrated to the Americas for a better life whether hundreds of years ago or yesterday!!!

I think he's off to a good start.

I like Sessions for Attorney General, perfect!

Pompeo is a great pick for D CIA, I heard Huckabee is the pick for ambassador to Israel, Mike Flynn is a great pick for National Security Advisor, I'd like to see John Bolton as Secretary of State, rumor has it Tom Cotton and Kelly Ayotte are being considered for Secretary of Defense, both strong picks, though I like Tom in the Senate.

I'd like to see Michelle Rhee as Secretary of Education. Can't wait to see the last of that freak Moniz as Secretary of Energy. Looking forward to someone who will release the left's strangle hold on energy production. Want to see the Keystone Pipeline built and move the professional eco-kook protesters out of the way.

Homeland Security, David Clarke is my pick. Joe Arpaio would cause the left's heads to explode. That would be worth seeing.

Secretary of Interior, Sarah Palin would cause the remainder of libs heads to blow, but I like Mary Fallin of Oklahoma.

EPA deserves someone with a big broom or hose to flush out the eco-kooks, sky is falling crowd.

Interesting times!

I hope he looks into this myth.
For some the sky is falling. Their lives are being given and taken for profits. Their air water and soil are killing them.
It's fact and we're all a small part of it.

The pitchfork comment is a reference to an article in Wired written by a high tech tycoon. He was warning that if America did not do something about the growing income disparity in the US, the folks with pitchforks and torches would come (revolution as it were...)

It has nothing to do with uneducated white rednecks. FWIW, Mr. Trump is a member of the elite class and your references to the leftist 'intellectual' elite belongs in the same trash bin as the 'white redneck bullshit you hear from some on the left.

Surprisingly no useful Google hits re: what kind of sound system The Donald listens to at home.

Seems like this should be a matter of public record... how can America Vote without knowing the first thing about the candidate's speaker & electronics preferences ?

I just took a virtual tour of his, ummm, house. I don't think ANY audio equipment looks good with Rococo or Regency furniture, nor w/ that much polished marble and gold leaf.

It's like they took the floor layout to an interior designer and said just one word, "Versailles." Even if they are real period pieces, they look silly in a Modernist glass-wall tower.

I DID see a Renoir, and a good one, too! It's competing with so much hoo-ha ass, that it doesn't reach out and grab you, as it otherwise might.

Oddly, the whole place looks like it easily could be home to any Middle Eastern billionaire. (Yes other places, too, like the U.S.S.R.---and China---and...) How they can dive for such cutting edge architecture, and fill it with some of the worst that 18/19thC Europe had to offer, will always be beyond me.

(OK, it's not really beyond me, but if I were to write it, everyone would think I am an elitist. Oh, for sure, you're right, I am, I just don't want anyone to think so. Too late, probably.)

Always call the place you live a house. When you're old, everyone else will call it a home.

I figure American made MacIntosh, or AR, however, he may use some high end Chinese amps with Russian tubes.

Yeah, the marble might be a problem. A few cases of RealTraps might help with the acoustics *and* the aesthetics.

I am so jealous of Americans that they will have Trump running their country in a few months.

Here's hoping Kevin O'Leary runs for the Conservatives. Has he decided yet?

Why don't you move there?

You just can't become a legal citizen overnight. It would take years. Also things like employment, family etc would make that an unrealistic option.
