I have to build a home-made class-D amplifier with one of those audio chip. The aim is to reach 200w power divided by two channels.

The alternatives are:

2 x TPA3116
1 x TDA7498
It's not a question of price. The question is: who sounds better? Anyone had tested them?

Here the datasheets:

TDA7498 datasheet
TPA3116 datasheet

I was looking at doing the same and settled on the TDA because it offers lower distortion. If youre building fewer than 500, it's cheaper to buy than build BTW.
