Yes, still need to figure out some additional amps for the ceiling speakers, but also I am still waiting on Axiom (Debbie) or whoever to reply to my email I sent on the 10th on what I can do on a trade to get those speakers...

Has anyone painted the in-ceiling M3s yet? I could probably just leave them white since the round ceiling canned lights I have in the theater have a white trim ring. How easy is it to remove the ring and mesh cover? I would think some primer and spray paint would be best so you don't get the hole filled?

OMG I am so mad at myself. I was just down in the basement pondering my changes I will have to make by dropping my current Qs8 wiring positions in the walls for my onwall m22s. I had everything on watching directv.

I have all my speaker wires coming out of my outlaw am terminated with banana plugs. I didn't have everything labeled greatly on my wall jacks so I was unplugging a few of the channels from the wall ports to find out which ones were my side surrounds.

Here is where my day started sucking. I guess I accidentally touched some of the plugs from the back left channels and saw a spark. From that point forward the back left/rear channels on the output stage of the amp are no longer working.... frown frown

I did some testing and in the end had to call Outlaw. The guy said since the rails in their amps have so much voltage, I think he said 40v in the 7700, I will have to send it in for repair. Would be different if it was the input side.

this thing weighs 93lbs, and I'm sure shipping will cost a fortune. Plus it will take 3+ weeks for it to be repaired possibly depending on what is wrong. I can't believe this...

In future you can identify channels with a battery. Or ring out the wires with a multimeter.

If you are out of warranty crack the case and check for blown fuses. Probably a couple $ fix. I dont know how handy you are, but usually if it is an easy fix it is worth doing yourself. smile Hope its something simple.

Oh yeah, dangerous voltages are present when plugged in. Unplug and let sit a few minutes while the caps fully discharge before you poke around. wink

yup been there done that with my Denon 3311 but it was the hdmi moved and sparked while I was back there. I thought I toasted it. I restarted and no difference, unplugged it for a bit and plugged back in and away it went. Man I was trippin, that horrible feeling in your gut. I feel for ya. The manual says it has protection circuitry and no fuses. bah.

Wow Randy. You blew up the emotiva AND the outlaw!

What serenity said.

I have the last good receiver Onkyo ever made. All speaker outputs are short circuit protected. It saved me once.
