OK, so this must be obvious, but do the M80s require jumpers to light up all the drivers?

Yep. If there are 4 posts. Assuming you aren't using two amps and 2 pairs of wires.

Was going to biamp but my old Integra processor only has one set of preouts for front LR.
Sounded great, guess that was the VP160 and QS8s and a pair of M80s running on 4 cylinders.
Thanks. I'll ask Ian for some jumpers.

Use speaker wire to make jumpers.

Or just buy a pair of these and bi-amp as you had planned.

I figured that feeding signal to the pair of binding posts from a single amp wouldn't be the same as it would be if the processor had twin outputs with cross-over control for each output.
So, I picked up some solid core hookup wire and made some jumpers (stranded wire spread when the binding posts were tightened.)
What is really interesting is that before jumpers I was listening to a pair of super M22s with twin tweeters. Sounded very good.
Needless to say, with all drivers working, the sound quality is much better. I had to reduce the EP500's cross-over point and volume.
I watched a bit of Transformers. Didn't only shake my house.
Heard from my very nice neighbors for the first time.

In all fairness, he was running subs so i can let him off this time. I ran M2's with twin 8" subs and then when i got the M80's the difference was not as great as your would think.

Goes to show you how quickly we acclimate to what we hear. The meat computer fills in the gaps so we are content with what we "should" be hearing. Hey, it was a free upgrade when you noticed.

Yeah, I was waiting for you all to pick up on that. Pretty embarrassing. However, to Axiom's credit, the super M22s with the EP500, VP160 and QS8s, sounded darn good.
When I had more fellas over, there was a lot of eating and drinking, no critical listening, and the system was well received in much the same way Willie Loman was liked.

Now that the M80s are shining, when it is my turn again, I'll host our local audio nuts and they will really have something wonderful to listen to.
