Another one kicks the bucket. J. Geils, the lead guitarist and founder of J. Geils Band passed this Tuesday April 11. a press release that a preliminary investigation "indicates that Geils died of natural causes."

Alan, it was SUPPOSED to be those things, as it was meant as a "prediction" thread, like Vegas odds. It has become merely an obit listing now. Sorry I failed.

Early reports are that Chris may have done himself in. Kurt is gone, Layne is gone. If that report is accurate, then Eddie Vedder better watch out.

Now THAT'S unseemly and macabre, I hope.

Yes, Scott Weiland is also gone (in 2015), seems the grunge movement left as quickly as it came in...

Hey, Mike! You're becoming like my aged relatives---I only see you at funerals. Hope you're well and life is pissah!

(You know, I never got the Pearl-Jam-imitator slamming that STP was the brunt of. I never considered them grunge. Their music reflected a much broader range of influences from deep R & R history. I split the Seattle ticket down the middle; yay on AIC and Nirvana, far less for Soundgarden and PJ. Loved Chris C. Not so much Eddie.)

See, I didn't say anything bad about the dead ones.

BTW, in no Chris Cornell story today did it mention he wrote the intro song to a James Bond movie. That's McCartney territory and was a big deal at the time.

Shitty. That sucks. I loved soundgarden. Superunknown was a big part of my teenage years.

Everyone should listen to "the day I tried to live" on this day of Chris's death. Rest well wierd beard.

Horns up.

Oh yeah, hi Bob

Just read the lyrics while listening to that song. He was not in a happy place, or at least whoever wrote the song. These grunge guys -all seem so tragic,no a happy lot. Still a great loss, another great gone .
