HSU beats SVS in my book. I had both briefly and compared....I can't speak for the Axiom sub though.

I would like to replace my EP350 w/ an SVS 20-39 PCI+, but the EP350 is no slouch. It rattles the walls and wakes the baby. After toying w/ crossovers, phase switch, and placement I have it set up (by ear) where the bass is extremely tactile. Heavy, thudding, grippy bass w/out any booming at all. Very good for music.
I'm curious about that particular SVS, though. The ability to go really low and loud (525 watt amp?) would be fun. And in my set-up the taller cylinder would have a much more elegant appearance.

I'm with Will...I like my EP350 and don't feel like I'm missing anything, but then again, I haven't heard an SVS or HSU. The EP350 does shake the walls, floors and couch.

Thasp, Axiom actually DOES make a good sub, it simply suffers a bit in comparison to the SVS and HSU subs. Satterd around the forum are a few compares folks have done and the Axiom holds its own.

axiom subs are good - hsu are better.

similar form factor, similar size - however, the hsu just has more features such as variable tunability (vtfs), generally larger amps, and are heavier - i like solid internal bracings!

however, if u want power beyond reason - the svs can do that! i have a 25-31PC+ and boy, it pounds like nothing i have ever heard... and for music, it can blend right in with my m22s.

JOEY's PC Sound System: Polk LSi7 (x4, mains and rears) and SVS 25-31PC+ (sub)
