The Air subs are the same price as the wired. Eventually that amp plate will look very bare with just a power switch, AC receptacle and a ground screw.

The Air-powered M5HP is more than twice the price of a wired M5HP. For that you get the Air platform and a 200W amp in each speaker.

Get him an EP500 as well. My good buddy was over last night and heard my tweaked EP800v4 for the first time. He then went home and compared with his two subs and is deeply sad (truly). Not sad about the difference in power but the vast difference in accuracy/refinement. You hear things with the 800v4 that you couldn't even imagine with lesser subs. I am sure the 500v4 is the same but of course it doesn't go as deep or as loud in a larger space.
I'll e-mail you some info related to what I tweaked. You might find it interesting since you're in the business.
The 800v4 will be my burial casket. I'll have solar connected to it so it can rock my bones as I greet Hades.

I can just imagine a crowd of mourners trying to get a word in edgewise as Speak To Me (opening heartbeat from DSOTM) sends ripples out through the ground. Eventually someone puts a blanket over the solar panels and the ceremony continues.
